The Worker Co-op Conference is the only national event where worker-owners from across the United States gather to learn and build power together. Since 2004, this conference has inspired new businesses and collaborations, gotten startup cooperatives connected to the national movement, and built powerful relationships. This is a highly effective and visible event that impacts the employee ownership and cooperative sectors nationally.
In 2020 we moved the Worker Co-op Conference online, which was more accessible in some respects (we boasted almost 2,000 registrants that year from all over the world!), but did not allow for the depth of strategy, skill-building, and relational organizing that undergirds our network. Now we’re turning back to convening our first national in-person conference since 2018, and it is a pricey prospect! We know it's necessary, and we’re hoping your organization can help us make this possible.
To safely gather, we have to raise our sponsorship levels to cover venues more conducive to some social distancing, cohorted workshop tracks, PPE and testing, to name just a few of the increased costs. On a positive note, interest in our programs, events and field has soared in recent years. Correspondingly, our sponsorship levels have increased to reflect the elevated visibility of this flagship event.
